What each player can do here

P1 · Leo
  • Leo's Way here means landing the plane and walking in; in the jump, Leo is the one who needs catching.
P2 · Vincent
  • Vincent's Way is the parachute jump, and Vincent dives to grab Leo on the way down.

If your skill levels differ: This is the shooting chapter. At the sniper section, one player takes the rifle up top and covers the partner on the ground. How to split the roles

Lift Off

Part 1 of 6. Get the plane ready and choose how to reach the compound.

  1. BothThree jobs before take-off: shut off the fuel and unhook the line, bring the pilot her logbook from the table by the arcade machine, and push the hangar doors open together.
  2. BothPick the route: Vincent's Way is a parachute jump, Leo's Way lands the plane and walks through the jungle. This is the one choice that changes which section you play next.

Free Fall (or The Trek)

Part 2 of 6. Reach the compound by parachute, or on foot if you landed.

  1. BothJump: Leo loses his parachute, so Vincent dives to catch him, then opens his own chute and steers for the landing zone.
  2. BothLanded instead: walk through the jungle and cut the vines with machetes.

Ambush

Part 3 of 6. Clear the first group of guards outside the compound.

  1. BothSplit and come at the two guards from both sides, quietly or with gunfire; more arrive, so fight from behind the rocks.

Covering Fire

Part 4 of 6. Get past the sniper and through the yard.

  1. BothPry open the metal sheet together, move along the low walls out of the sniper's sight, crawl through the building and climb to take him out.
  2. BothOnly one of you makes it up the ladder: that player keeps the sniper rifle and covers the one below.
  3. BothLift the garage door together, push the dumpster, then clear or sneak past the guards and push the truck down the steps to break through the fence.

The Mansion

Part 5 of 6. Fight through Harvey's house.

  1. BothAt the weapon cache you can swap guns; shoot the gate lock to get in.
  2. BothGunmen shoot through a barricaded door: one draws their fire while the other carries the gas canister over and throws it, and the first shoots it to blow the door.
  3. BothLift the fallen beam together, then fight down both sides of the terrace into the main hall.

Jungle Road

Part 6 of 6. Escape on dirt bikes and make it onto the plane.

  1. BothRide hard and keep clear of the jeeps; you cannot shoot from your own bike.
  2. BothAfter Leo's bike is lost, Vincent rides back for him; then Leo shoots from the back while Vincent drives.
  3. BothAt the runway, the passenger jumps into the plane first, then the rider pulls alongside and leaps for an outstretched hand.

Boss

HarveyThe compound boss

  1. The hall: Harvey fires a grenade launcher from above while his men fight you in the hall. Stay in cover until it is destroyed, then move up, and climb the stairs to reach him.
  2. The office: Choose who confronts him; he takes that character hostage. The hostage edges toward the glass cases and slams him into one, and the other shoots.

Minigames in Vengeance

Optional side games for the two of you, apart from the main path.

  • Arcade machine

    Where: At the back of the hangar.

    A two-player arcade game; playing it together unlocks an achievement.

  • Bench press

    Where: The airplane hangar.

    Mash for reps.

Achievements and extras

  • Leo can go out the side door of the hangar and play with the helicopter for an achievement.
