What each player can do here

P1 · Player 1
  • Wolverine: unlike Nova, he can block the barricade's tentacle strike.
P2 · Players 2–4
  • Nova: his special is an area explosion.

The Moon

Part 1 of 2. Reach the Dark Phoenix.

  1. BothChallenge: take no damage from the bug barricade halfway through; it attacks with tentacles from the ground, so dodge them while you break it.
  2. Players 2–4Challenge: ten kills with Nova's special.

Boss: Dark Phoenix

Part 2 of 2. Beat the Dark Phoenix.

  1. BothShe puts up a psychic shield that blocks your attacks.
  2. BothWhen she becomes a flaming phoenix and crosses the arena, get out of the way.
  3. Player 1Challenge: land the last hit as Wolverine, and keep the partner's assist from stealing it.

  1. Shield: A psychic shield that blocks attacks.
  2. Phoenix dash: Turns into a flaming phoenix and dashes across.
  3. Firebirds: Sends smaller fire birds.
  • Selphie1999: hit her from behind while the shield is up.
  • Selphie1999: in the second phase, adds come in from marked spots on the floor and from the side of the screen.

Extras and notes

  • Beating her unlocks Phoenix as a playable hero.
