World 1 of 3
Snipperclips: Noisy Notebook walkthrough
The first world: matching outlines, carrying balls to hoops, a hamster, fireflies and two star stages with mirrored copies.
- 15 parts · 41 steps
Steps from 9 text guides, 16 videos to watch · checked Oct 20, 2026
What each player can do here
- Snip and Clip have the same moves: walk, jump, duck, stand on tiptoe, turn all the way round, and snip off whatever part of the partner you overlap.
- Before you press A the game draws the outline of the cut; hold Y to grow back to your full shape.
- Playing alone, X swaps between the two characters.
If your skill levels differ: The tutorial and the level names are the only hints the game gives, and GameSkinny's advice when stuck is to back out and read the name again. Our suggestionWhen skill levels differ: let the newer player do the snipping while the other holds still as the shape being cut. How to split the roles
Shape Match
Part 1 of 15. Fill the dotted outline together without spilling past its edge.
- SnipDuck with your round side turned sideways to the left, then let your partner snip off roughly your top half.single source
- ClipTurn your round side to the right and step into the outline; your partner trims whatever pokes out, and the two of you fill it.single source
Baseballin'
Part 2 of 15. Drop a baseball through the hoop on the right.
- SnipSnip a dip into the top of your partner's head so a ball can rest in it.single source
- BothOne of you presses the eraser of the blue pencil on the left; the one with the dip catches the falling ball, walks right and lets it drop through the hoop.single source
Hamster Helper
Part 3 of 15. Guide the hamster to the tube on the right without it falling through the weak floor in the middle.
- SnipCut your partner down to about a third of their size.single source
- ClipStand over the tube in the middle and lean so your body makes a slope.
- SnipPress the eraser at the top right; the hamster runs out, over the slope and on to its tube.
Firefly Flicker
Part 4 of 15. Bring the firefly down to the hanging lamp on the right until it is caught.
- SnipSnip about two thirds off your partner so what is left forms an L-shaped hook.
- ClipHook the firefly out of the air, jumping off your partner's head if it flies high, then take it low and to the right toward the lamp.
Make the Cut
Part 5 of 15. Cut the paper sheet down to the outlined stump shape.
- BothDuck on the left and on the right of the shape to clear the big areas either side of it.single source
- BothTurn sideways and rise onto tiptoe to take off the strip that is left.single source
Where people tend to fall
- Cut too much? The eraser on the left puts the sheet back.
Balloon Burster
Part 6 of 15. Pop all three balloons.
- SnipCut most of your partner away, leaving a small pointed hook to pop the balloons with.
- BothFor a high balloon one of you stands still as a step; pulling a balloon's triangle handle drags it down, and carried to the left it floats against the low ceiling, within reach.single source
Alley Oop
Part 7 of 15. Get the ball into a hoop that hangs higher than the last one.
- SnipCut half a dip into your partner's head.single source
- ClipShave one upright half off your partner, who is now thin enough to reach the eraser on the left.
- SnipPush the eraser; the ball drops and bounces off to the right.
- ClipCatch the ball in your dip, walk right with care, then jump from your partner's head and tip it into the hoop.single source
Crane Game
Part 8 of 15. Use the claw to lift a player onto the high ledge, then knock the ball into the pink basin.
- SnipTrim a little off both sides of your partner to make a T, or the claw can't grab them.
- SnipHold the eraser on the left to move the claw, and let go above your partner so it grabs them and drops them on the ledge at the upper right.
- ClipFrom the ledge, push the ball off so it falls into the pink basin at the lower left.
Star stage: Mocking Birds
Part 9 of 15. Three rounds of steering eggs into nests, with copies of both players that copy every cut and turn.
- BothEvery cut or turn you make also changes your same-coloured copy on the other side.
- BothRound 1: cut most of both players away so the egg can drop straight down safely.single source
- BothRound 2: cut both players about in half and turn them into a gentle slope for the egg.single source
- BothRound 3: build slopes the same way so the egg rolls to the lower right, back to the lower left, then into the nest at the far right.single source
Bowling for Baskets
Part 11 of 15. Dunk a heavy bowling ball in the hoop.
- SnipCut a round hollow into the top of your partner's head to carry the ball in.
- ClipWait under the drop point while your partner pushes the eraser on the left to release the ball.single source
- BothThe eraser player drops to the lower level and the carrier climbs on top; move right together and the carrier jumps for the hoop. The ball is heavy, but the jump is just high enough.single source
Shape Match 2
Part 12 of 15. Fill an odd-shaped outline.
- SnipStand in the left part of the outline with your square corner to the upper right, and let your partner trim all that sticks out.
- ClipStand in the right part with your square corner to the upper left and get trimmed the same way, then return to your spot at the left edge of the outline.
Firefly Flicker 2
Part 13 of 15. Break open the ball holding the firefly, then lead the firefly to the lamp.
- SnipCut a scoop into your partner's head.single source
- ClipPush the eraser to open the barrier on the right, drop into the pit and roll the right ball to the right and over the low wall into the shaft, where it breaks.single source
- BothSteer the freed firefly back up to the lamp at the upper left.single source
Make the Cut 2
Part 14 of 15. Trim another purple sheet down to its outline.
- BothOne player is enough: tilt your head on the diagonal and snip the row of peaks, turning between cuts.single source
Where people tend to fall
- The pencil on the left resets the sheet if a cut goes wrong.
Star stage: Mega Mocking Birds
Part 15 of 15. A bigger Mocking Birds: three rounds, more copies.
- BothThe eraser at the top left sends an egg to the lower right and the one at the top right sends one to the lower left; take one egg at a time.
- BothCut both players roughly in half lengthwise so they stay narrow, then turn your heads into slopes to ease each egg down.single source
- BothRound 2 adds two big copies and round 3 two big and two small; a player with a hooked curve helps nudge eggs along.
- BothClearing this star stage opens the next world.
Extras and notes
- Each world starts with eight available stages and a locked star stage. Five clears open the first star stage; beating it adds five more stages and a second star stage, which opens once ten stages are done.one guide
