Yoshi's Crafted World: Hidden Hills walkthrough

The optional post-game world: three tough levels without checkpoints, then a secret fight with Kamek.

What each player can do here

P1 · Player 1
  • Player 1 plays a Yoshi with the full move set: flutter jump, ground pound, eat enemies and throw eggs. The camera mostly follows Player 1.
  • When the partner rides on your back, you steer both Yoshis and your ground pound sends out a shockwave, but you cannot throw eggs until the rider jumps off.
P2 · Player 2
  • Player 2 is a second Yoshi in another colour with the same moves. Either Yoshi can eat the other and spit them out.
  • Jump onto Player 1's back to ride: you give up moving, but you can throw eggs without running out.

If your skill levels differ: The rider does no moving and never runs out of eggs, while the carrier handles the jumps. Hidden Hills

Part 1 of 2. Open the world and its levels.

  1. BothHidden Hills opens after the main story. Its first three levels cost 30 Smiley Flowers each and the boss level 50, 140 in all.

Kamek Kerfuffle (secret boss)

Part 2 of 2. Beat Kamek.

  1. BothKamek replays earlier bosses in his own colours: first the Tin-Can Condor, then the Gator Train, then a version of the Great King Bowser robot. Each time, egg Kamek when he shows himself, then ground-pound him.
  2. BothIn those three phases the floor is made of blocks that drop if you stand still, so keep moving.
  3. BothLast, you fight a giant Kamek from the Go-Go Yoshi mech: punch back what he throws at you, and when he falls off balance and bounces toward you, punch him.

Boss

KamekThe secret boss

  1. Condor: A Kamek-style Tin-Can Condor; egg Kamek when exposed, then ground-pound.
  2. Gator Train: A Kamek-style Gator Train; same finish.
  3. Robot: A Kamek-style Great King Bowser robot; same finish.
  4. Go-Go Yoshi: In the mech, punch back his attacks, then punch him when he falls.
