What each player can do here

P1 · Resident Representative
  • Talks to Tom Nook to start and finish each island project; only this player moves the story on.
P2 · Second resident
  • Gathers materials and crafts furniture for the projects, which the Representative then hands in.

If your skill levels differ: Only the leader can talk to characters and enter buildings, and only the Representative moves the story on, so on project days the Representative leads Party Play. A follower's catches land in the recycle box at Resident Services, where anyone can take them out later. How to split the roles

Bringing Blathers

Part 1 of 3. Unlock the museum.

  1. Resident RepresentativeCatch five fish or bugs and give them to Tom Nook; he calls Blathers and asks you to choose a spot for his tent.
  2. Resident RepresentativeWhen Blathers is there, donate 15 more creatures or fossils to him so he can build the museum.
  3. Resident RepresentativeThe spot you pick for Blathers' tent is where the museum will stand later.

Good to know

  • Tom Nook wants five different species: five of the same fish will not count.

Paying off the move

Part 2 of 3. Clear the first loan and get a house.

  1. Resident RepresentativePay off the tent loan with Nook Miles, then ask Tom Nook to upgrade the tent to a house.

Good to know

  • Game8 gives the first loan as 5,000 Nook Miles; the Nook Stop terminal pays daily bonus Miles.

Building Nook's Cranny

Part 3 of 3. Collect Timmy's materials for the shop.

  1. BothOnce the first loan is repaid, Timmy wants four stacks of 30 for Nook's Cranny: wood, softwood, hardwood and iron nuggets.
  2. Resident RepresentativeTimmy takes each material only as a full stack of 30, but the four can be handed in on different days.
