What each player can do here
- Captain Toad, or Toadette in her chapters: no jumping at all. You walk, pull plants out of Pluck Patches, throw turnips and turn the camera to read each course.
- Assist Mode: Player 2 steers a pointer and fires red turnips at enemies and loose coins. Those turnips cannot press switches, break Rock Blocks or hurt bosses.
- Adventure for Two (added in 2019): Player 2 runs a second explorer with the full move set. A fallen player floats back in a bubble; if both go down together, the course restarts.one guide
- Both two-player modes work only in TV or tabletop mode; Assist Mode is played with a pair of Joy-Con, one per player.
If your skill levels differ: Hand the newer player the Assist Mode pointer: Nintendo pitches the second seat as tossing turnips at enemies, while Player 1 keeps the puzzles and the walking. Move to Adventure for Two once you both want a character of your own. How to split the roles
The courses

- BothOne of the Odyssey courses puts Cookatiel from Luncheon Kingdom in your way.
- BothThe rest of the episode holds four Toad Brigade courses, three Mummy-Me versions of earlier courses and the three Episode prologues.
Mummy-Me Maze Forever
Part 2 of 2. Survive the long maze and collect 5,000 coins.
- BothThe last course opens only once you hold every Super Gem in the game, and its objective is 5,000 coins.
- BothIt also requires every bonus objective to be done.
- BothIt runs for 50 randomly built maze rooms with Mummy-Mes in pursuit, and losing a life sends you back to the start.
