What each player can do here

P1 · Kirby
  • Kirby: copies abilities and throws Friend Hearts at enemies to turn them into friends, for a party of up to four.
P2 · Friends (Players 2–4)
  • A friend: a new player presses a button on a connected controller, and the friend appears with Kirby's current ability. Players can drop in or out at any time; empty seats are filled by computer-controlled friends.
  • Friend Abilities: the player with a weapon ability raises it, and a player with an element (fire, ice, water, wind, electricity) hits it to power it up.

If your skill levels differ: Kirby builds the party with Friend Hearts, so the steadier player usually takes Kirby. A newer player can join as a friend for one stage and leave whenever they like, since anyone can drop in or out at any time. How to split the roles

Void Termina

Part 1 of 1. Win the final battle.

  1. BothClearing The Divine Terminus leads straight here. The fight runs through several phases, switching between flying around it in open space and fighting inside its body on foot.
  2. BothOutside, everyone rides one ship that fires charged shots. Only the weak points (eyes) take damage; dodge the punches and the shockwaves and shoot each weak point until it breaks.
  3. BothInside, attack the heart on foot while dodging the drops falling from above. When it is broken, grab the handles on it and pull it apart.
  4. BothBack outside it grows wings and swoops past; shoot the weak points as it passes close. Then go back in for the last core, where it turns your friends against you: throw Friend Hearts to win them back, and wait out its beams in the gaps.
  5. BothThe battle ends with a button-mashing finish; the prompts change, so watch the screen.

Where people tend to fall

  • IGN calls the battle long but very easy: keep attacking and dodging.

Boss

Void TerminaThe final boss

  1. Giant form: Punches the ground, stomps out shockwaves and swings giant swords; only its eyes take damage.
  2. First core: The heart inside its body, with drops falling from above.
  3. Winged form: Flies and swoops across the arena.
  4. Final core: The last core, which sends out waves that turn friends against you, plus needles and bullets.

Extras and notes

  • Finishing the story opens two extra modes: Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go!, plus a boss rush called The Ultimate Choice.
