What each player can do here

P1 · Player 1
  • Each player picks a fighting style: close-up melee, ranged attacks from the back, or heavy armour to soak hits.
P2 · Players 2–4
  • A second player on the same machine joins with their own controller and shares the one screen; up to four can play locally or online. Wander too far from the leader and the game teleports you back.
  • In co-op a downed teammate can be revived by standing near them, and the team only loses a life when everyone is down.

The mission

Part 1 of 2. Destroy the brews and reach the Cauldron.

  2. BothFind and smash all five brews.
  3. BothWitches throw potions that leave purple clouds; stay out of them or kill the witch fast.
  4. BothThe way to the Cauldron runs through a cave where an Enderman can appear. Keep your distance and use ranged attacks or sidestep its arms.
  5. BothAfter the Cauldron falls, leave through the exit to finish.

Where people tend to fall

  • Slime blobs split into smaller ones as you damage them; keep hitting so they don't pile up.

The Corrupted Cauldron

Part 2 of 2. Destroy the Cauldron.

  1. BothThe Cauldron never moves; it keeps spawning slimes that shoot at you. Only kill the ones in your way and keep hitting the Cauldron.
  2. BothWhen it starts to charge, back off: a wall of purple fire goes up around it.
  3. BothRanged attacks are the safest damage, since arrows go through the fire wall.
  4. BothThe huts at the edge of the arena block slime shots; duck behind one to heal.

Boss

  1. Minions: Keeps spawning slimes that fire projectiles at you.
  2. Fire wall: Now and then charges up and surrounds itself with purple fire that hurts on contact.
  • Windows Central's reminder: the Cauldron's biggest weakness is that it cannot move, so find a blind spot and strike when the fire wall drops.

Extras and notes

  • Secret mission Soggy Cave: when the map reads two secrets, a side dungeon has spawned. Clear it to reach the map (Game8 says before the Cauldron).
