What each player can do here

P1 · Player 1
  • Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy or a Toad: grabs the power-ups, takes the hits, and can bring a fallen partner back by touching their ghost before it fades.
P2 · Player 2
  • Yoshi or Nabbit: no damage from enemies, but no power-ups either. A Yoshi can carry a partner on its back.

If your skill levels differ: Give the newer player Yoshi or Nabbit: Nintendo recommends them for players just starting out because enemies do not hurt them. The trade-off is that they never transform with power-ups. How to split the roles

The courses

Part 1 of 2. Open the bog and clear its courses.

  1. BothThe entrance needs 15 Wonder Seeds from the Petal Isles.
  2. BothThe four-star courses include Pull, Turn, Burn, Wavy Ride through the Magma Tube and the palace itself.

Deep Magma Bog Palace

Part 2 of 2. Beat Bowser Jr. one last time.

  1. BothHe spins and can jump up to high platforms in his shell; he is open right after the jump.
  2. BothAfter a hit the room turns to silhouettes; the sparks from his spin show where he is.
  3. BothLater he makes two clones that copy his attacks. In the dark, the real one is the one with the purple mouth.

Boss

Bowser Jr.The palace boss

  1. Spin and jump: Hit him after the jump.
  2. Silhouettes: Track him by the spark effect.
  3. Clones: Two copies; find the real one.

Achievements and extras

  • 30 Wonder Seeds and one Royal Seed in this world.
  • If someone loses a life, the others can touch their floating ghost before the timer runs out to bring them back without losing a life.
