What each player can do here

P1 · Player 1
  • In this guide's split Player 1 plays Amadeus: he conjures boxes (and later planks and steel balls) and levitates objects into place.
P2 · Players 2–4
  • Player 2 swaps between Pontius (sword, and a shield that blocks shots and bounces light) and Zoya (a rope for swinging and tying things together, and a bow with fire and ice arrows).

If your skill levels differ: Classic mode allows one of each hero at a time; Unlimited mode lets both of you play the same hero, and puzzles are tailored to the number of players. Our suggestionPut the more experienced player on Amadeus, whose boxes press switches and build platforms. How to split the roles

Across the moors

Part 1 of 2. Use all three heroes together for the first time.

  1. Players 2–4Swing Zoya from the tree onto the rock ledge ahead.
  2. BothPut a box on one end of the see-saw and have Pontius stomp the other end to launch up.
  3. Player 1Drop a block into the middle of the spike pit as a stepping stone and jump across.
  4. Players 2–4Stomp through the cracked stone bridge with Pontius to drop to the area below.
  5. BothSet the mirror cube on the ledge, then stand in the light with Pontius and bounce the beam off the cube onto the button.
  6. Players 2–4Tie Zoya's rope from the spinning gear to the ledge to hold the gear still.

The wolf

Part 2 of 2. Stun the giant wolf and stomp its head.

  1. Players 2–4Only Pontius's stomp on the wolf's head does damage, and only while it is stunned.

Boss

A Giant Nightmare WolfThe beast on the moors

  1. Stun: Climb the platforms and hit the wolf (arrows, sword or a dropped box) until its lower bar empties and it slumps, stunned.
  2. Stomp: While it is down, get above its head with Pontius and stomp; each stomp takes a chunk of health and the cycle starts again. Six stomps finish it.
  3. Adds: Between stomps it slams its paws on marked spots and calls in smaller creatures, later spirits that throw bombs; clear them or keep climbing.
  • The stun bar starts refilling as soon as the wolf drops, so climb before landing the last stun hit; Zoya's arrows are an easy way to stun it from range.
