What each player can do here

P1 · Gatherer
  • Gatherer: holds the axe or the pickaxe, carries wood and iron to the Storage wagon, and grabs the bucket when the engine runs hot.
P2 · Track layer
  • Track layer: takes finished track off the Crafter, lays it ahead of the train, clears the path when no track is ready and deals with the creatures.

If your skill levels differ: The wiki and Blueprinted both say only one player should lay track, and a lower difficulty means more resources and less unbreakable rock.Our suggestionWhen skill levels differ: give track laying to the steadier player, and let the newer player own one tool and keep resources coming. Lava, geysers and vents

Part 1 of 2. Stone bridges and geyser water.

  1. BothLava replaces water: bridge it with stone, because wood is useless here.
  2. GathererStand on a geyser to refill the bucket.
  3. Track layerTrack cannot go over steam vents; plan the route around them before you start laying.
  4. BothBlack rock is common and can cut you off from the back of the train.
  5. GathererA Level 3 Tank plus a Buckinator is the suggested cooling setup.single source

Magma blobs and ghosts

Part 2 of 2. The creatures that set fires and swap your controls.

  1. GathererMagma blobs latch on and set the train on fire; put them out with the bucket. Each blob relights up to three times, then gives up.
  2. BothGhosts possess players and reverse their movement for a while.
  3. BothThe screen tilts and can flip upside down; the motion sickness setting swaps that for reversed controls instead.
  4. BothA magma blob on the Milk wagon lets players walk through each other.
