What each player can do here

P1 · The Lamb
  • Player one is the Lamb for the whole campaign; the Goat is player two. The update that added co-op made it local only.
P2 · The Goat
  • The Goat joins from the pause menu on a second controller. The two players can trade weapons, get extra damage fighting back to back, and land a critical hit when their attacks connect together.

If your skill levels differ: Weapons can be swapped between the Lamb and the Goat, so give the newer player whichever weapon they handle best and keep the two of you close for the back-to-back bonus. The store page also lists a difficulty choice. How to split the roles

Getting in

Part 1 of 5. Open the door and learn the run structure.

  1. BothSilk Cradle is the far-right door north of the cult and needs at least 12 Followers.
  2. BothThe first two runs have three rooms before the miniboss, the third has five, and the fourth has five rooms before Shamura.single source

Run 1: Focalor

Part 2 of 5. Beat the first miniboss.

  1. BothFocalor lunges after a white glow; step to the side.
  2. BothIt climbs away on a thread, leaving small spiders behind, then crashes onto a red target. Stay off the target and roll through the ring of shots that the landing throws out.

Where people tend to fall

  • TechRaptor's advice is patience: hit it in the short gaps between attacks and don't rush in right after a slam.

Run 2: Vephar

Part 3 of 5. Beat the second miniboss.

  1. BothVephar mostly lets the spiders it summons do the fighting. Kill them quickly.
  2. BothIt lobs green poison shots that leave puddles. Avoid the landing marks so the puddles don't box you into a corner.
  3. BothHit it, and back off for a few seconds when spikes come out of its body.

Run 3: Hauras

Part 4 of 5. Beat the third miniboss.

  1. BothHauras fires rings of shots and a spinning stream. Roll through the rings, and stay out of reach while the stream turns.
  2. BothIts lunge covers a lot of ground. Dodge it, then hit while it recovers.
  3. BothA line of green shots leaves a poison trail behind; don't walk through it.

Run 4: Shamura

Part 5 of 5. Beat the last Bishop.

  1. BothShamura slashes fast at close range. Roll in for a few hits and roll out again instead of staying next to it.
  2. BothIt throws exploding shots that land on marked spots. Clear the marks, then use the opening to hit it.
  3. BothIt leaps and slams down, often several times in a row, and the landings throw out rings of shots. Slip through the gaps between them.
  4. BothThe lower its health, the more often and more aggressively it attacks, including several swipes in a row. Dodge sideways as the arm comes round.
