What each player can do here

P1 · Kirby
  • Kirby: the only one who copies abilities and uses Mouthful Mode. If Kirby goes down, both of you go back to the last checkpoint.
P2 · Bandana Waddle Dee
  • Bandana Waddle Dee fights with a spear: quick thrusts, a throw aimed with the stick, and a charged spin that lifts him into the air. He cannot float, but he can jump several times in mid-air.
  • He never copies abilities, but his spear hits harder while Kirby holds a stronger Copy Ability. In some Mouthful Modes, such as the car, he rides on top of Kirby and keeps throwing spears.

If your skill levels differ: Give Kirby to the more confident player: only Kirby gets Copy Abilities and Mouthful Mode, and a knocked-out Kirby sends you both back to the checkpoint, while a knocked-out Bandana Waddle Dee can be brought back. Spring-Breeze Mode gives both characters more health and makes enemies easier, and you can change the mode outside a stage. How to split the roles

Reaching the boss

Part 1 of 2. Rescue enough Waddle Dees to open Danger under the Big Top.

  1. BothDanger under the Big Top opens after you have rescued 21 Waddle Dees in Wondaria Remains.
  2. KirbyCoaster, Water-Balloon and Light-Bulb Mouth appear for the first time here.single source
  3. BothBlueprints in this level: Toy Hammer, Gigant Sword, Time Crash and Fleur Tornado.single source

Danger under the Big Top

Part 2 of 2. Beat Clawroline.

  1. BothHer ground attacks are claw slashes, a dive and a fast dash, mostly at close range. Run away from the double slash, or guard and tilt the stick to dodge through it if she is already on you, then hit back once she finishes.
  2. BothLate in the fight (below 40% health, per WiKirby and Game8) she climbs a pillar and throws knives down. Keep running sideways; she can throw several volleys.
  3. BothFrom the pillar she dives at where you stand. Dodge it and she is open for a moment afterwards, which is the time to hit her.
  4. KirbyOnly Ranger (or one of its evolutions) reaches her while she hangs on the pillar, and one mission asks for exactly that hit.

Where people tend to fall

  • IGN: when the spotlight lands on you she lunges across the whole stage and running will not escape it; guard and tilt the stick to dodge at the right moment.

Boss

ClawrolineThe Wondaria Remains boss

  1. On the ground: Two-hit claw slashes, a high-speed dash, and a leap that lands claws first.
  2. On the pillars (below 40%): Clings to a pillar out of reach, throws volleys of knives, then dives down at you.
  • Game8 notes that Drill is not offered in the stage; buy it at the Waddle Dee Weapons Shop before you go in if you want it for the no-damage mission.

Extras and notes

  • Clearing the stage gives the Pencil Drill blueprint. Missions: no hovering, hit her on the pillar with Ranger, clear within 1:30, and no damage.
