What each player can do here

P1 · Hero 1
  • Aloy and her bow from the start; Varl (spear), Teersa (bombs) and Erend (hammer) join as the story unlocks them. Heroes only gain levels while you play them.
P2 · Hero 2
  • The same heroes to pick from. The camera is shared, with no split screen, and if you drift too far behind the game pulls you back to your partner. Until Rost dies early in the story, the second player can play as him.

If your skill levels differ: A fall costs nothing, since a broken hero just rebuilds; only losing every heart in a fight sends you back to the start of that section.Our suggestionFor a mixed pair: Story difficulty or the Player Invulnerability option.
