What each player can do here

P1 · Luigi
  • Luigi holds the Poltergust G-00 and the flashlight: stun ghosts with the Strobulb, then vacuum and slam them. The run only ends if Luigi runs out of health.
P2 · Gooigi
  • Gooigi walks over spikes and slips through bars and tight spaces that stop Luigi. Water and fire empty his health at once and send him back to Luigi.
  • In the boss fight Gooigi works below the floor, switching off the laser barriers.

Four keys

Part 1 of 2. Collect the four keys for the King Boo statue.

  1. BothFind the four keys spread over the floor's rooms and put them in the tongue of the big King Boo statue at the end of the hallway.
  2. BothIn the bedroom, put the weight of both characters on the seesaw platform to tip it high enough to reach the key and the laser switch.

The owner

Part 2 of 2. Beat the hotel owner.

  1. LuigiThe pillar in the middle fires red lasers: Burst over a single beam; when there are three, run around them instead.
  2. GooigiThen coloured barriers start rotating. Gooigi drops down a drain or pipe into the maze under the floor and switches the barriers off.
  3. LuigiShe swings her mirror at Luigi; when it sticks in the floor, flash and vacuum her.
  4. GooigiLater she floods parts of the lower maze. Blue squares show where the water will hit, so move Gooigi out of the way.

Boss

  1. Lasers: Jump single beams, run around triple beams.
  2. Barriers: Gooigi switches off the barriers from below while Luigi waits for the mirror swing, then flashes and vacuums.
  3. Flooding: Same pattern, but Gooigi has to dodge the water flagged by the blue squares.

Achievements and extras

  • Six gems on this floor; this is the one floor without a Boo.
