What each player can do here

P1 · Luigi
  • Luigi holds the Poltergust G-00 and the flashlight: stun ghosts with the Strobulb, then vacuum and slam them. The run only ends if Luigi runs out of health.
P2 · Gooigi
  • Gooigi walks over spikes and slips through bars and tight spaces that stop Luigi. Water and fire empty his health at once and send him back to Luigi.

If your skill levels differ: Losing health is never game over for Gooigi; the run only ends when Luigi runs out. So the newer player usually takes Gooigi and the steadier player takes Luigi. How to split the roles

The pyramid

Part 1 of 2. Climb back out of the pyramid.

  1. BothEach chamber has a puzzle; solving it fills the room with more sand until it is high enough to climb out.
  2. BothPast the statues that shoot arrows, Gooigi walks through the volley, since the arrows cannot hurt him, and pulls the chain that raises a wall in front of them so Luigi can get by.

Where people tend to fall

  • Watch for the raised pressure plates in the halls: stepping on one sets off arrows.

The sand queen

Part 2 of 2. Beat the queen outside the pyramid.

  1. BothShe hides in a huge sand head. Vacuum the sand away and blow away the sand cobras when they miss a strike.
  2. BothOnce exposed she shields herself and fires projectiles; dodge them or blow them aside, then flash her and vacuum.

Where people tend to fall

  • When the head jumps to a new spot it sends out a shock wave; Burst over it.

Boss

  1. Sand head: Clear the sand and the cobras until she comes out.
  2. Exposed: Get past her projectiles, flash and vacuum. You get the Twisted Suites button.

Achievements and extras

  • Six gems are hidden on this floor, and a Boo turns up here once you have the floor's elevator button and come back later.
