What each player can do here

P1 · Luigi
  • Luigi holds the Poltergust G-00 and the flashlight: stun ghosts with the Strobulb, then vacuum and slam them. The run only ends if Luigi runs out of health.
  • Suction Shot: fire a plunger at a ghost or object and pull it with the vacuum.
P2 · Gooigi
  • Gooigi arrives once the RIP Suites boss is beaten; from then on the second player can take him for the rest of the game.
  • Gooigi walks over spikes and slips through bars and tight spaces that stop Luigi. Water and fire empty his health at once and send him back to Luigi.

If your skill levels differ: Losing health is never game over for Gooigi; the run only ends when Luigi runs out. So the newer player usually takes Gooigi and the steadier player takes Luigi. How to split the roles

The briefcase

Part 1 of 2. Track down the maid and get the briefcase back.

  1. LuigiThe maid has swallowed the briefcase and hides in one of the rooms: use the Dark-Light to see which door she went through.
  2. LuigiNormal vacuuming does nothing to her. Stick the Suction Shot plunger to her belly, pull, and slam her.
  3. LuigiShe flees to a neighbouring room; follow the trail and repeat until she gives up the briefcase.

Meet Gooigi

Part 2 of 2. Unlock Gooigi and use him to get out of the lab.

  1. BothBack at the lab, E. Gadd puts the goo from the briefcase into the Poltergust and Gooigi is born. The second player can join from here.
  2. GooigiIn the tutorial, Gooigi slips through the bars and turns the valve to let Luigi out.

Boss

ChambreaThe maid ghost

  1. The fight: Suction Shot to the belly, pull and slam; she cannot be drained by plain suction. Winning returns the briefcase and the Hotel Shops button.

Achievements and extras

  • Six gems are hidden on this floor, and a Boo turns up here once you have the floor's elevator button and come back later.
