What each player can do here

P1 · Leader
  • The camera follows whoever is making progress at the front; give that seat to the player who knows the stage.
P2 · Partner
  • A partner who falls off the screen can warp back to the leader, so lagging behind costs nothing.
  • Amy's double jump makes several boss fights easier; CBR names it for the clown fight, the flooded Lagoon City fight and the final boss.

If your skill levels differ: Let the stronger player lead. The newer player can drop in and out at any time and warps back to the front when left behind. How to split the roles

Act 1: the clown

Part 1 of 2. Stun the clown and hit it.

  1. BothJump through the clown face tokens to flip them all; when the last one flips, the clown turns upside down and can be hit.
  2. BothEach round adds more tokens and electricity in the floor gaps; in the last round, bounce off the side bumpers to reach the high tokens.

Where people tend to fall

  • CBR: Amy's double jump reaches the high tokens without the bumpers.

Act 2: Eggman

Part 2 of 2. Use his roulette wheels against him.

  1. BothStay clear of the bombs he sends on his spinning wheels, then ride a wheel up to hit him.
  2. BothBetween rounds, dodge the green fire balls that roll along the floor.

Boss

Clown robotThe Act 1 boss

  1. Tokens: Drops bombs while you flip its tokens.
  2. Electric floor: More tokens and electrified gaps each round.

Dr. Eggman (Pinball Carnival)The Act 2 boss

  1. Roulette wheels: Throws bombs from two spinning wheels.
  2. Fire balls: Green fire balls roll along the floor.
