What each player can do here

P1 · Player 1
  • In this guide's split Player 1 plays Amadeus: he conjures boxes (and later planks and steel balls) and levitates objects into place.
P2 · Players 2–4
  • Player 2 swaps between Pontius (sword, and a shield that blocks shots and bounces light) and Zoya (a rope for swinging and tying things together, and a bow with fire and ice arrows).

If your skill levels differ: Classic mode allows one of each hero at a time; Unlimited mode lets both of you play the same hero, and puzzles are tailored to the number of players. Our suggestionPut the more experienced player on Amadeus, whose boxes press switches and build platforms. How to split the roles

Through the forest

Part 1 of 1. Lift logs and ledges with the new rope.

  1. Players 2–4Make a rope bridge between the hooks to reach the ring.
  2. Players 2–4Use the new rigid rope (named firm rope or fairy rope depending on the guide) to lift the ledge and climb up.
  3. Players 2–4Lift the next log with the same rope and jump onto it.
  4. Player 1Pull the thorn out of the bear's paw.
  5. BothTie the rigid rope to a steel ball and have Amadeus stretch it under the far ledge to form a bridge.
  6. Players 2–4Charge a steel ball up the ramp to break the crystal above.

Where people tend to fall

  • One guide rates the shadow-creature fight here tougher than most and suggests freezing a few with Zoya to give Pontius room.
