Wobbly Life Split Screen: 4 on PS5 and Switch 2, 2 on Switch
Wobbly Life split screen seats 4 on PlayStation and the Switch 2 Edition but 2 on the first Switch, and Xbox's own page says both 2 and 4. Store by store.
TL;DR: PlayStation lists 1 - 4 players and Nintendo's Switch 2 Edition Single system (1-4). The first Switch stops at Single system (1-2). Xbox prints Xbox local co-op (2-2) next to a description promising 1-4 local split-screen. Online co-op seats four. Checked Oct 25, 2026.
The same Xbox page gives two answers: its capability field says two players on one console, and its own description says 1-4. Wobbly Life split screen seats four on PlayStation and the Switch 2 Edition but two on the first Switch, so pick the version before you buy for a family of four.
As of Oct 25, 2026: Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation pages re-read that day; Steam from an archived store page of Oct 13. The Wobbly Life game page shows the latest check.

Wobbly Life split screen? (quick answer)
Yes, and the seat count depends on the version. Wobbly Life is described by its developer, RubberBandGames, as "1-4 players Online and Local split-screen co-op." The stores do not all print four.
Chart: CouchCoopDesk, Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation pages checked Oct 25; Steam archived page Oct 13.

Desk note: 29 games in our database list a seat count for both a Switch and a Switch 2 version. Only 3 seat more people on Switch 2, and Wobbly Life is one, going from two to four, next to Brotato and Disney Speedstorm. For most games the upgrade changes the picture, not the sofa.

Analysis: two seats or four on Xbox?
The Xbox store is the odd one. Its capability lines read "Xbox local co-op (2-2)" and "Shared/split screen". Its description, a few lines lower, reads "1-4 players Online and Local split-screen co-op."
We cannot settle that from the outside. The developer's page uses the same 1-4 wording, but no Xbox-specific line from RubberBandGames says four on one Xbox.
GODEEPER: What Xbox's Shared/split screen label covers, and why its fields and descriptions can differ. Split screen vs shared screen vs online co-op
Switch 2 is the clearest case for four. Curve's launch text, as GoNintendo ran it, says: "The power of Switch 2 lets up to four Wobblies jump into local split-screen or online co-op." The first Switch's own listing says "1-2 players online and local split screen."
Chart: CouchCoopDesk, from the Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation listings, checked Oct 25.
Stability and crossplay
Split-screen has had trouble on consoles. Windows Central wrote that "split-screen multiplayer has posed stability challenges on consoles, particularly Xbox and Switch, but the 1.0 update includes a massive memory overhaul."
For crossplay, the developer's FAQ answers "Steam and Consoles: Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch." The Xbox store prints Xbox cross-platform co-op. Our Steam data shows no crossplay category, so check in-game before you plan a mixed lobby.

What players say
One r/WobblyLife player likes the mode, another reports crashes in it. An October 2026 reply read: "My son and I love playing together in split screen, so thank you!!" Another PS5 player wrote: "The only thing that helped at all was switching from horizontal split-screen to vertical view."
Our take
Buy Wobbly Life on PS5 or Switch 2 for four on one screen; skip the first Switch version for more than two. PlayStation and the Switch 2 Edition list 1-4, the first Switch 1-2. On Xbox, the field and the text disagree, so plan on two until Microsoft's field says more.
Families with younger players can compare our co-op games for kids list. We will re-check the Xbox field on the next store run.
What we don't know yet
Whether four people can share one Xbox screen. The store's description says 1-4 local split-screen; its capability field says 2-2.
How we checked this

Steam fields come from an archived store page of Oct 13; Steam's own site was not reachable. Outlets: Windows Central, GoNintendo. Player lines come from the Reddit archive we use. We did not play Wobbly Life for this article.
